Today MSN unveiled a preview of its home page redesign based on cleaner lines, a focus on select verticals, and easier user configuration!

Along with the new logo, the fresh new home page display the top news and hottest entertainment neatly, and it will feature inline access to Windows Live together with the most popular social networks – Facebook and Twitter!

Windows Live, Facebook, and Twitter in one page
The new home page not only allows you to access to your emails from Windows Live Hotmail, your friends status update in Windows Live, Facebook, and Twitter, it also got abilities to update your status right from the home page.

HD Video Viewing
Besides, the new home page has upgraded the Silverlight experience to offers inline high-quality streaming video, from more than 300 sources including Hulu, National Geographic and FOX Entertainment Group.
Concentrate on Local Content
The new home page also incorporates comprehensive local information, offering more real-time community news than any other home page. Included is a new offering, MSN Local Edition, which provides the latest information on local weather, news, sports, entertainment and dining, and traffic and events, grouped by ZIP code. (currently only available for US)

According to Bob Visse, the MSN Product Management Group General Manager, about the changes, including the US and worldwide aspects of the changes. He said that “different pages work differently across the world”, so updates on the home page might not be the same in different countries.

I would like to see the Local Edition available on Malaysia.
hmm, the colour sequence had been changed,
not like the draft they proposed b4 this.
anyway, it looks quite nice also
